My Network

It definitely has taken a village to help me get to where I am on my artistic journey...where do I begin?? I am a part of several artist communities that have helped foster my growth as an artist.

  • Mastrius - I've worked with some AMAZING mentors through the Mastrius online platform since 2021: Karen Weihs, David Langevin, Heather Pant, Sharon Fox Cranston, Cam Forrester, Pamela Beer, Gwen Fox, Nuala Clarke. But above and beyond the mentors has been the wonderful community of artists that Mastrius has introduced me to!

  • Budding Art Collective, Edmonton and area - Daniela Bahry and Karen McCallum have been so welcoming to me and my art. They've provided me with so many opportunities already to get my art out in the world. I'm excited about where this connection will lead.

  • Calgary Artist Studio Tour - Although I don't live in Calgary, my sister, Jean Parker, opened up her studio for sharing during the 2024 tour. Great experience!

  • Gallery 501, Sherwood Park, AB and St. Albert Painters' Guild - two new connections...stay tuned!

In June 2023, I was so grateful to attend a one-week art residency workshop in Ballycastle, Ireland (Ballinglen Arts Foundation) under the instruction of the wonderful Nuala Clarke, I worked with a small group of artists exploring and developing our individual styles of abstraction. Artistic growth for everyone was exponential. This was an amazing experience that I won't soon forget!

One studio habit I brought back with me from Ireland...French press coffee to start my session.

A Special Time...
