My Work

Working predominantly with acrylic open paint, my tools of choice are palette knives, squeegees, and other mark-making tools. Most of my abstract painting is intuitive where images and ideas emerge as I work. I like to mix things up as well, especially with landscape abstracts, where I am sometimes more intentional and start with a direction for my piece. I love to work in series of threes - allowing ideas and paint to flow over three substrates at once. I always work in layers, adding and subtracting details, until the final painting emerges.
